A rare and richly detailed 18th-century Continental European wall-hanging cupboard, handcrafted in the Tyrol region and constructed of solid pine with hand-forged nails and pegged joinery. This charming Alpine piece features applied moldings, chamfered diamond-point blocks, and a deeply patinated finish from centuries of use.
The interior includes a hanging rack—likely for barware or glassware—while the inside of the door is lined with remnants of rare 18th-century printed tobacco labels, including references to historic London tobacconists like Richard Tate and Watts & Potter. This layer of ephemera adds a rare documentary quality to an already exceptional piece of folk craftsmanship.
