These antique hand-carved wood sconces from Italy have shapely back plates with an acanthus leaf and swag motif, from which the two curved arms, with volutes and leaf wrapped carved accents, reach outward at opposing angles, each supporting their wooden bobèches and painted candle sleeves. The finish is earthy and has a wonderful old patina and show of age throughout. These light fixtures have been rewired for the US.
