Standing an impressive 22.5 inches tall, this serene white figure is depicted holding a blooming lotus flower with delicately spiked thorns, standing atop a highly decorative pedestal encircled with lotus leaves, buds, and shells. Her tranquil expression, gracefully flowing robes, and beaded adornments reflect the refined craftsmanship found in traditional Dehua-style porcelain.

This piece was acquired from a woman who was clearing out her mother’s estate, which had belonged to her grandmother—a dedicated collector of Asian art and antiques. It bears subtle age-related wear and has one hand with chipped fingers (see close-up photos). The porcelain rose stem features unusually sharp thorns that add a striking visual and tactile contrast to the smooth glaze.
