This is a beautifully elaborated and finely carved Burl vessel that has been polished to a satin smoothness and inlaid … Read more This is a beautifully elaborated and finely carved Burl vessel that has been polished to a satin smoothness and inlaid with turquoise by the listed Arizona Artist, Marc Wroe. The vessel is artist signed and dated 4/1994. The beauty of the piece speaks for itself. The vessel dates to the late 20th century and is in very good original condition. We have applied a couple of coats of hard paste wax to heighten its natural beauty.
Marc Wroe's inlaid turned vessels express the blending of the several cultural influences in the American Southwest: Native American, Spanish Colonial and the later infiltrating anglo settlers.
The vessels all express the soul of the wood from which they were turned -- bringing life to the spaces that they inhabit.
