Cedar Waxwing Mother Feeding Baby Bird on a Tree Figurine Japan by Andea Vintage 1980s
Excellent vintage condition. No damage, chips. This is an early figurine by Andrea, made in Japan, circa 1980s.
The Cedar Waxwing is a member of the family Bombycillidae or waxwing family of passerine birds. It is a medium-sized bird that is mainly brown, gray, and yellow.
Some of the wing feathers have red tips, the resemblance of which to sealing wax gives these birds their common name. Great for that avid bird watcher/ornithologist.
Approx meas 7" T; 5.5" L; 4.5" W.
