Alfred Christensen's Easy chair with solid beech frame is a pillar of Danish design. Christiansen's designs are known for their clean, simple lines that embody a sense of warmth and simplicity. This comfortable and sturdy chair has been meticulously upholstered in a 100% cotton ticking fabric from esteemed 36 Bourne Street, English textiles. The fabric is tightly woven from the best quality fine yarns, the surface is smooth and soft to touch. Proudly woven in Lancashire, England and dyed in the Scottish Borders.
Originally manufactured in the 1940's, this silhouette reads as both sculptural and slim. The outstanding level of craftsmanship combined with the classic rounded and timeless details make this a hallmark of the Danish design tradition.
