Replica of Greek terra cotta ladies from the 3rd to 4th century. Tanagra figures present real women dressed in elegant but everyday costumes, with familiar accessories like hats, wreaths, or fans.
The lamp figures are cast plaster in the manner of the popular Tanagra images from antiquity. Created in the early 20th century as a neo-classical revival interior lighting. Fitted now with new and modern wiring and sockets. In-line on/off on the cords, and hold Edison base sockets over the figures with tall cylinder shades, a dramatic spotlight on the sculptural ladies.
Wonderful figural lamps from the 20s-30s'.
The measurements are 24.5" tall over 4" by 4" wooden bases. The figures are 11" tall alone and the shades are 9" tall.
