This chandelier was abandoned in a Midwest barn through many a winter. Designed by George Nelson for Howard Miller; it's truly a piece of functional art that was meant to be admired in a grand mod space. Extremely rare, two styles of "Metalites" were made: the Cylindrical and Convex. Both featured a polyethylene diffuser drum that dispersed the light through angled satin brass fins. An extraordinary monumental.

Brass Chain: 68" long (adds approx 64" to the height of pendant)

To see this fixture in its best light, professional restoration is required... not only for presentation and use, but also to preserve a spectacular design by George Nelson. - three of the four sockets do not work - the down-light is missing - the acrylic drum diffuser has two large black bulb burns - some parts need to be reattached with rivets (parts shown in second photo) - there is extensive oxidation of dark brown; especially both sides of the bottom
