The Bummolo or Bummulu Malandrino is a typical Sicilian object. It is a real closed jug, in which drinks are poured inside through the hole underneath it, so to fill it you have to turn it upside down and once brought to a vertical position the bummulo will not let the liquid poured inside come out.
It was used in ancient times by farmers to transport water or wine in the countryside without overflowing and keep it fresh all day, because clay is a conductor so it keeps liquids at temperature
