The factory, Jules Vieillard & Cie, was known for its high-quality earthenware and faience, and it won medals at several World's Fairs in Paris. The mark "NB" (likely referring to "N.B." or "Note Bene") and "ROUEN" suggest a specific pattern or style, possibly inspired by Rouen faience.
