This vintage Egyptian Sultanabad rug, measuring 9' by 12', is handwoven with wool on a cotton foundation in the Nile Delta region of Northern Egypt. Crafted in Fustat, the ancient capital located at the northern edge of modern Cairo, these rugs are made using traditional techniques that have remained largely unchanged for centuries.
