Jean Cocteau (1889-1963), French writer Harlequin with a spear Ink brush drawing on paper signed and dated in graphite lower right, (1954), 33 x 25 cm. The theme of the harlequin is a recurring subject in the artist's work. Work reproduced in the collection of poems “Sous le manteau de feu” by Geneviève Laporte illustrated with lithographs by Jean Cocteau.
