Théophile STEINLEN (1859-1923) (After) "The Carmagnole" Black and white lithograph published in 1973 by Guado Signed "PIERRE" in the plate, Steinlen's press name. Copy no. 19/30 on laid paper. Good general condition This illustration by Steinlen appeared on the front page of the newspaper "Le Chambard socialiste" dated April 17, 1894, in the midst of the Paris Commune. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
