MARKS: "FRANK & DE KEYSER" "PATENTED NOV. 10, 96."
The business relationships that late 19th-century entrepreneur Leo Frank formed never seemed to last. Maybe it was because Frank, of New York, was continually disgruntled.
We don't know, but the items they created were exceptional, like this ornate brass/bronze cigar ashtray with a built-in match holder. Measuring about 6" in diameter and 5" tall, it's in remarkably good condition for a piece that's been around for quite a long time.
