The circular mirror from later addition is framed in finely cast bronze trim, offering an elegant contrast to the richly textured wood.
The frame features an elaborate sculptural composition of oak leaves, flowers, and grape clusters, crowned at the top by a dramatic scene of a nesting bird defending against a snake, an allegorical motif symbolizing protection and vigilance.
