The painting portrays a genre scene of a young boy training his dog to hunt on the beach, with what appears to be a hole with some dead rabbits outside of it. The painting is very typical of the work of Mr. Collins, who was popular and collectible in the 19th and early 20th century. There are some light damages to the frame that could be touched up but it is in it's original condition.

The painting measures 20 1/2 inches (52.1 cm) tall with the frame and is 18 5/8 inches (47.4 cm) wide with the frame.

The painting itself measures 13 3/4 inches (35.0 cm) in height and 11 3/8 inches (29.0 cm ) in width. See less
