Hand-carved in the early 1900s in France, the two-and-a-half-inch-thick circular top with ogee edges sits upon a fluted pedestal with an octagonal foot, reminiscent of an architectural column. Demi-lune carvings partially fill the bottom of the flutes, just above a quarter-round molding over a thin chamfer. The mottling of the top is absent on the base, but the accumulation of moss adds more character to the heavily weathered table. Our circular limestone table with fluted octagonal base would make a wonderful addition to any outdoor setting, such as poolside, in a rose garden, or on a patio. The table can also be used inside in an entryway or sun room, as the magnificent patina inherently adds a unique color scheme to any interior design palette. See less
