RARE Antique 1867 Book "Mrs. Stowe's Religious Poems" 1st Edition - Author Signed
Rare first edition by the author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and famous abolitionist Harriet Beecher Stowe. Octavo. 107pp. Dark green cloth stamped in gilt. Publishers: University Press: Welch, Bigelow, & Co, Cambridge. Foxing on a few pages, mainly at front and back of book. Corners bumped,first two pages starting to detach. Inscribed by Harriet Beecher Stowe on the front fly:
"Why shouldst thou study in the month of June?
In dusky books of ---- Hebrew love?
Then the great Teacher of all glorious things
Passes in hourly light before thy door."

Also inscribed on opposite page:
