An extraordinary, investment-grade late 1970s/1980s expanding Parsons-style dining table by the legendary Los Angeles luxury design studio Harrison Van Horn. Known to premier interior decorators as the "Rolls Royce of Furniture," Harrison Van Horn pieces are celebrated for their meticulous attention to detail and enduring, collectible value.
This monumental estate centerpiece beautifully captures the quintessence of Postmodern California Luxury, Coastal Chic, and Organic Modernism. The substantial, heavy frame showcases Harrison Van Horn’s signature softly radiused waterfall corners, entirely hand-wrapped in a premium, natural brown grasscloth raffia displaying an incredibly elegant, tight diamond-weave pattern. The textured fiber surfaces are sealed under a high-fidelity studio lacquer finish that accentuates the organic depth, giving the woven facade a magnificent sheen and rich patina reminiscent of hand-tooled fine leather.
The base of each thick-set leg is beautifully grounded by a heavy, square polished brass-clad sabot foot, giving the table a stylish, sophisticated casual elegance and a stance suited for both intimate and grand entertaining layouts.
This masterfully engineered, commercial-grade piece features a split center aperture and comes complete with two (2) original 18-inch matching expansion leaves, effortlessly extending the composition from a compact profile to a grand 96 inches to comfortably seat 10 to 12 guests.
An exceptional, high-impact design asset perfect for an upscale contemporary dining space, a luxurious coastal modern interior, or a premier estate.
