A wonderful oil on canvas painting of a misty forest. Nielsen was known as Norway's first plein-air painter. He painted only outdoors from 1860 to the end of his career. This work has an extreme atmospheric quality with a sense of mist descending upon the forest at dusk. The condition is very good, and the frame is in very good condition as well. See less
