Beautiful quarter sawn oak (1/4 or tiger oak) china cabinet. This Country French style piece has wonderful flower and shell detailed carving. The bottom section has an unusual stepped out and curved shape which gives a 3 dimensional more feel than simply a flat front.
The quality is outstanding with beveled wood side panels, cabriole legs with carving on the knees, beveled side panels, and wonderful oak grain pattern. Mirrored back and glass sides lets light in to show off your display items. The top simply sits on the base and makes transportation in 2 parts easier.
It is an original Vintage piece that has been restored and not a later reproduction. Made probably in the 1930s when the earlier styles were reintroduced and labor for extremely high quality workmanship was still inexpensive. This style with slight variations has been made and been popular for hundreds of years. It is in fact a vintage item.
It is an extremely versatile, beautiful and very well made piece of furniture.
