It is very grand in size measuring 33” tall x 22” wide. This is one of the largest vases that they produced which makes it more desirable. Gladding McBean Company originated in Lincoln, California in 1875 by Peter Mc Gill McBean and George Chambers, a pioneer in ceramics technology, a company that has “contributed immeasurably” to the states industrialization. The first product Gladding McBean produced was the clay sewer pipe which was very innovative for the time and very useful. Overtime with the success of the company, they bought out Tropico tile company along with the pressed brick company and by the early 1930s during the Great Depression bought up American encaustic tile co. New York, Among many others. Gladding was well deserved in the title of “the world largest ceramic manufacturers” and to this day continues the legacy of producing high quality ceramic pieces. Also there is a Chip on the lip of the vase just underneath there is a crack I do not believe it goes all the way through so it does not jeopardize the integrity of the part in anyway. Other than that it seems to be very sturdy and in good condition less
