Lovely and strong figure of the spirit watching out of the cat's body. A poetic and Japanese concept of both the cat and the spirit world, alongside ours. The figure is mounted on a museum block with a single pin holder that is removable. Solid ebony with faint carving of the fur and a smooth volume.
The measurements are 4" by 2" by .8" tall, ( block) total height is 5". No marking or signature is found on the bottom, sourced from a Japanese collection. See less
