Born in West Africa, Walker’s work demonstrates terrific color, vibrancy, and joy. Entirely self-taught, he sells his works on the streets of downtown and midtown Houston. Papa Goyo (Greg Weismantel) has attracted a diverse and broad following over his twenty-plus years as a local celebrity and abstract folk artist. His art spans from intricate sculpture to painterly abstraction to illustration and his works have been displayed in galleries from coast to coast and a major corporation in Austin, Texas. See less
