Offered is a set of mid 20th Century, circa. 1960s, sculptural leaf-shaped bowls carved from Taverneau wood, and resembling sets designed by Arthur Umanoff.
Many of the table-top wares created by Arthur Umanoff were made in Haiti and labeled Pantalcraft or Raymor. Three of the small bowls bear their original stickers affixed that read "Hand Made", however, the text has faded these past few decades.
The 6 smaller bowls measure approximately; 9.75" L x 4.5" W x 2" H
The large bowl measures: 17.5" L x 8" W x 4.75" H

There are no nicks, chips, cracks, fissures, repairs, or deep utensil marks or scratches (see photos). They have been cleaned, and food-safe oil has been applied to nourish the wood. Any imperfections in the grain or craftsmanship are innate, and any wear is commensurate with age and past usage. Not dishwasher safe. The bowls should be hand-washed with mild soap and dried with a cloth or towel. less
