Pair of distinctive vintage Chinese green glazed pottery Kylin dragon or foo dog figurines. The Kylin, also known as Qilin or Chi Lin in Feng Shui, is a mythical chimerical creature and a classic Feng Shui protection cure. This is a matched pair with the female dragon representing yin and symbolically protecting the people dwelling in the home - she is featured with her cub on her back. The male lion has his paw on a ball that is carved out with geometric patterns and signifies control over his domain and protection of his home.
They are significant pieces, both in size and weight, and very unique in design.
