This vintage Afghan Maimana Kilim, measuring 7'1" x 9'5", is handwoven by the Maimana tribes of Northern Afghanistan using wool on a wool foundation. Kilims are flatweave rugs created by tightly interlacing warp and weft threads, resulting in a smooth, pile-free surface. Typically crafted on horizontal looms, this technique yields sharp geometric patterns.
