A stunning sculpture depicting a seated cat, made of vitrified majolica, crafted and signed under the base by the "La Farnesiana" factory in Parma. The sculpture is extremely expressive; note the dynamism of the pose despite the animal being seated. The glazing in various shades of brown is beautiful, with a rich and brilliant vitrification that perfectly renders the cat's coat.

Useful information for evaluating the item:
Our research shows that several ceramic mirrors manufactured by "La Farnesiana", with the outer edge of the mirror made with double or triple hand-crafted ceramic drapery in various colors and shades, are quoted at very high prices ranging from a minimum of €400-600 for the smallest ones, up to €2,600 -€3,600 for the larger ones. In addition, in the photo below this description, we have included a vase made by "La Farnesiana" valued at €200-220 by an auction house back in 2007, a price that, adjusted for inflation, would undoubtedly be much higher today, to give an idea of the value of the pieces made by this manufacturer. La Farnesiana's artistic production is extremely limited, and its ceramics are very rare and sought after in the art market.
