A French Art Deco pair of figural bookends made of white crackle glaze ceramic with gold highlights. The book ends feature stylized mermaid. Beautiful design created by the artist sculptor Lejan for the ceramic factory Orchies in the 1920's. Signature Lejan in deep (almost invisible).
