This iconic model of the tropical postmodernist style captivates with its mineral composition: the asymmetrical base evokes brutalist architecture while retaining a Mediterranean feel. The hand-cut fossil stone features raw textures and original chips that reinforce its organic character.

The original glass, round in shape with a polished bevel, is in perfect condition, bringing contrast and lightness to the overall effect. This type of furniture was produced in the Philippines, on the island of Mactan, and then exported in the 1980s to Europe and the United States, notably under the Magnussen Ponte name.

We found it also works admirably without its top, as a sculptural base for works of art. This dual interpretation further accentuates the decorative and sculptural value of the piece.
