David Shrigley is a Brighton-based British artist born in Macclesfield in 1968. Having studied at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1991, Shrigley has since gained international recognition for his distinctive drawings, sculptures, and text-based works. Known for his dark humor and deliberately crude style, Shrigley explores the absurdities of everyday life with wit and sharp social commentary. A 2013 Turner Prize nominee, his work has been exhibited globally.
