Situated on a sloping hill surrounded by tranquil water, the yellow one-story house is quaint and picturesque as a result of Eve Nethercott's use of color and simplistic forms. Bathed in direct sunlight, the eaves of the orange roof cast shadows along the façade of the structure that add a sense of realism to the work.
