J.C. Leyendecker (1874-1951) was the pre-eminent American illustrator of the latter 19th and early 20th centuries, and passed the torch later to Norman Rockwell. He is known as the creator of many American architypes, including the Arrow Collar Man, the New Year's Baby and the standard image of Santa Claus. He also included many undressed men into his art at a time when that was rare. Many of his originals were destroyed after his death so the printed works from the period that remain are eagerly collected.

Cover has been separated from the bulk of the magazine via an existing tear. A Pink mailing label remains affixed to the cover. The remainder of the magazine is stapled and the pages are in their original form and are included with a full compliment of pages, articles, and vintage advertisements.
Frame is contemporary, but compliments the original colors well.
