Elegant mid-century sofa by Arne Vodder, model FD164, designed in the 1960s and made of solid teak. An iconic example of Scandinavian furniture craftsmanship – high-quality, understated, yet expressive in detail.
The backrest, made of individually arranged, wide teak slats, makes the sofa particularly attractive when placed anywhere in the room. The precisely crafted armrests slope slightly inward, offering an organic, comfortable shape.
The slightly angled, tapered legs lend the sofa a visual lightness and elegance. The new cushions are made of high-quality foam and covered in a fine bouclé fabric in light gray-beige by Sahco / Kvadrat – a restrained, contemporary color scheme with a soft feel.
The wood has been freshly oiled and is in very good condition with only slight age-related signs such as small scratches and dents, mainly in the lower leg area.
An outstanding design object of Scandinavian modernism – comfortable, sculptural, and ready to live in.
