This desk is one piece. This Edwardian Solid Oak Pedestal Desk is a stunning piece of antique furniture, perfect for adding character and charm to any home or office. Made from high-quality oak with intricate detailing, this desk exudes timeless elegance. With its spacious dimensions of 121 cm in length, 54 cm in width, and 76 cm in height, it provides ample work space while also boasting practical features like drawers for storage. The rich brown colour adds a touch of warmth to the room, making it a beautiful and functional addition to any space. The 4 drawers down each pedestal are graduating, with 1 central drawer, all drawers slide freely, all locks in place no key, arrow dovetail joints, looks like original brass handles, ( no signs of extra holes) , there is no escutcheons with a couple of drawers, got bits missing, just adding more charm. The top is quarter sawn oak which gives it the tiger look grain. There is also a signature, T. Kirby, could he have been the maker back in the day. The desk stands on a plinth base, some age related marks adding charm and character to this antique desk, please see all pictures for condition.
