This monumental, bulbous vase is an extraordinary example of Giovanni DeSimone’s iconic mid-century pieces. It features DeSimone’s instantly recognizable profusion of hand painted Sicilian village scenes in vibrant colors. This piece features scenes of farming and wheat gathering in a small Sicilian town - all set against a sun-drenched Italian landscape.

Note: This is one of the LARGE Giovanni DeSimone bulbous vases measuring 11¾” x 10”

Condition: This vase is in exceptional vintage condition. Used for display only with barely any signs of use on the bottom. The glaze is glossy with no cracks, chips, or damage. Signed on the side by the artist, as well as on the bottom with “DeSimone Made In Italy for Vietri” and “ART. 507/D.” Bottom rim is stamped 531. See less
