The mirror … Read more An old federal giltwood eagle convex mirror crafted from giltwood with an ebonized inner frame around the mirror. The mirror features a carved perched bold eagle (representing America's independence) watching over thirteen gilded spheres representing the original thirteen colonies. Six ribbons adorn the outer frame, as well as decorative carved acanthus leaves are placed around the frame, at the top and base. The wood is overlaid with a bronze gilt, giving it an old, rich and elegant appearance. Based on construction, circa 1930-1940. See less
