This is a very elegant and useful French Folding Magazine Rack, in the Neoclassical Style in Gilt Metal & Silver Plate C. 1950.
The base has a stunning Gilt metal gallery with a mahogany bottom.
The cross legs end with a very nice finial top and bottom,
There is a rare stunning finial at the top in silver, in the shape of a Dolphin.
This very well designed magazine rack reminds me of a few well known makers in France in the 50s., Maison Bagues, Maison Charles and Maison Jansen.
Very good vintage and preowned condition, consistent with age and use.
A little oxidation to the Silver Plate
