The interior with … Read more Antique 18th century English George II highly figured mahogany tea caddy with gilt bronze handle & escutcheon. The interior with three compartments. This box has wonderful color and the original hardware is beautifully cast and retains traces of gilding. Measures 9" x 4 7/8" x 6 1/2" tall. Scattered loss of trim; the interior with a loss at the back near the hinge. Presents very well. Lock mechanism is absent. The interior of the lid lined with an old piece of green wool baize.
