Featuring a detailed dramatic mountainous Alpine landscape that draws the eye in - castles can be observed nestled high up in the mountains in the distance, a lake down below with a small sailboat, chalets overlooking the water, the scene surrounded by the 'verdure' (greenscape) in the foreground, the forest and foliage resplendent in an attractive array of mellow hues from French green to vertigris to olive green and sage, some leaves turning into fall colors ranging from rust to gold - soft colors and a nice motif.

High up in a tree an exotic emerald green bird is singing his praise to the last rays of the sun painting the mountaintops golden. The valley below is turning frosty cool with shades of periwinkle, glaceus and pale blue. A stag and his young deer family coming out to graze, his roar producing a visible mist in the cool dusk air. The mind wants to wander off and discover what's on the dirt path leading off to the left...

Featuring a muted timeworn color palette that has a unique ability to shift with the quality of the light in the room - in cool daylight (the 1st photo) the tapestry comes off as cool and crisp, but at sunset (the 2nd photo) and lamp light the earthy tones take over and the warm browns and soft golds dominate.

In the style of Aubusson tapestries, woven with Jacquard mechanical loom with black wool for the warp and what feels like a wool/linen blend in the colored weft threads.

Would make e a stunning focal point on the wall in a den, hunting lodge, cabin, study, game room, or family room.
