The hollow bracelet technique is an ancient technique applied to jewelry at the turn of the 20th Century. The celluloid material was used as a flat sheet, then cut by hand and painted, stained, or sprayed with paint. Each material piece was then heated around a wooden stick to form a tube. When the hollow tube was cool enough, it was reheated, rounded, and sealed to close it and shape the bracelet. Looking closely at the bracelet, you can see the seam on the inner edge and the seal on the circumference.
This bracelet has an intricate design in gold application over a black background. It is striking and unique.
Measurements: Inside across is 2.82 in diameter (7.1 cm) - outside across is 3.44 in diameter (8.8 cm) - width is 0.38 in wide (0.9 cm) - inner circumference is 8.66 in long (22.3 cm). It will best fit a Large wrist, from 7 to 8.50 in circumference (18 to 21.5 cm). Note, you can wear this bracelet on the top of the forearm or the upper arm if your wrist is smaller.
