This unique lidded box from Kenya is hand-carved from solid soapstone and features a stylized face design, blending traditional African artistry with modernist form. Made by Besmo, a known exporter of African handicrafts during the mid-20th century, this piece carries its original "Genuine Besmo Product – Made in Kenya" label on the underside.
