This exceptional ikebana vase was handcrafted by Japanese ceramic artist Noma Gazan, renowned for his experimental approach to form and glaze. The vase bears his signature on the base and is a stunning example of his versatile style.
Dimensions: Height 26 cm, diameter 17 cm. In perfect condition.
The elegant, spherical vase features a fluid, organic shape that embodies the principles of wabi-sabi. The glaze is a deep reddish-brown with expressive transitions to olive green and bluish-gray around the shoulder—a result of controlled oxidation during firing. These vivid color variations give the piece a natural, earthy allure that shifts subtly with the light.
