Carved Wooden Gate from 1700 by Bottega Lombarda with two doors from the altar of a church carved and perforated with floral motifs with pomegranates and sunflowers. Rare Lombard balustrade gate composed of two doors with molded frames and central panels carved in openwork, with phytomorphic and zoomorphic motifs. In the lower part two birds hold a crown, which has been integrated into the right door; in the upper part the gate is decorated with a floral cymatium. The interrupted frames, the one on the right door has been replaced, demonstrate that originally the gate was abutted against a balustrade or similar structure. The symbolic meaning of the crown, the pomegranate and the sunflower is interesting. In the rear part the shaped wooden cymatium supports are delightful. The kneeling dovetail hinges are also original. In good condition this gate comes from a private Lombard collection and dates back to the 18th century.
