An absolutely stunning antique Victorian gilt wood floor lamp. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.
It is of superb quality with fine and intricate details. The solid wood frame has a gorgeous gilded finish, which is set on a blue background giving a lovely contrast. There is also a lovely and unusual colourful carved fruit section in the centre. It has acquired a beautiful patina over the years.
The condition is excellent for its age, we have had this re-wired with gold three core cable, it is in good working order. It came with this high quality and highly decorative silk shade that is also in good overall condition.
