It is of high quality craftsmanship and features a seat with the original hand-caned Vienna weave, which is hand-inserted in traditional six-way weaving.
The fine stool is very sturdily made and absolutely suitable for everyday use: for siting or as a side table."This traditional high quality bentwood stool was hand-crafted during the 1930s in Austria. The manufacturer's label is no longer present, but it was most likely produced by Michael Thonet or a comparable quality manufacturer from this period.

The manufacturer labels were mostly made of paper and are often, as in this case, no longer extant.
The stool features a seat with the original hand-caned Vienna weave, which is hand-inserted in traditional six-way weaving.
