A beautiful pastoral scene of a red barn near the foothills by Nellie M. Hodgson (American, 20th Century). A barn is nestled in a grove of trees, possibly eucalyptus. Beyond the trees, there are blue foothills rising to meet a cloud-filled sky.
Signed by the artist, lower right: "N. M. Hodgson."
Signed and dated on verso: "Nellie M. Hodgson '36."
Presented in a rustic giltwood frame.
