This exceptional lounge chair and ottoman set is a rare and iconic example of Hungarian Space Age design, manufactured in the 1970s by the Hungarian Applied Arts Company (Magyar Iparművészeti Vállalat). The organically shaped shells are made of high-strength fiberglass—an advanced material of the time—molded into fluid, aerodynamic curves and finished in a radiant high-gloss yellow lacquer.
