Artist Jonathan Taylor was born in 1966 and was raised in Bar Harbor Maine. He studied at the College of the Atlantic and University of Maine at Orono. Taylor traveled to Santa Cruz, California, in 1987, and began painting in 2001 after several years of collecting art & antiques.

He is known for oil paintings that include the female figure, horses, still life, fish, and baseball, as well as abstract work. His works have been described as "Modern Primitive" and are in numerous collections in the the SF bay area and across the United States. He has a keen eye for abstract paintings and outsider art which is reflected in his passion for painting. Jonathan Taylor is active and living in California. See less
