The color and the elegance of this French Empire, Neoclassical style lamp in yellow with a swan makes it a standout. It is both dramatic and formal with a beautiful swan mount. The lamp was a subject of interest at an estate sale in Los Angeles last spring. The metal castings seem well made and well-proportioned to the body of the lamp.The cream-glazed urn-form lamp with gadrooned top mount, the body fitted with a cast gilt metal cuff or collar featuring a wing-spread swan and issuing chain swags, the circular foot on a square base with cast gilt metal top. Surmounted by a pleated conical fabric shade. Unsigned.
